The above data provides a big-picture view of which CDN provider is fastest in India. It also gives you an idea of each CDN’s overall stability. It’s important to note, however, that fluctuations do occur, as we will see when analyzing the same providers within the last seven days below.

When examining averages during the last seven days, speeds are relatively consistent, but some of the providers rose or dropped in rank. While AWS, 5cents, LimeLight, and Google Cloud held their top positions, Azure jumped up three spots while Bunny dropped to last place. That’s why monitoring CDN performance is so important, especially when commits are involved.

The next part of the puzzle is uptime. After all, if your CDN provider isn’t reliable, it doesn’t matter how fast they are. Here’s how the same providers compare when looking at their uptime performance over the last seven and 30 days.

As you can see, rankings change considerably when analyzing by uptime. While almost all the providers had a consistent uptime performance, LimeLight and Akamai were significantly lower in uptime over the last 30 days.

During the seven day period, AWS and Bunny held strong in the top two, while Fastly outperformed Google Cloud and 5cents. LimeLight recovered from its uptime performance, but Akamai is still experiencing issues. That doesn’t mean Akamai is down, but it does show that India may be a weak spot for this particular CDN provider, at least until its network issues are resolved in the region.
Tip: Keep in mind, that these analytics are based on RUM data, and don’t reflect the actual uptime of a provider. Some false positives can occur, but overall, this gives you the best picture of CDN stability and reliability during a specified time range.
